Here is our best advice for caring for your Bedface sheets: washing, folding, and long-term care.
The day you’ve been waiting on has finally arrived: you’ve received your brand new Bedface sheets.
You’re ecstatic about finally being able to sleep like royalty (as you should be), but enjoying your Bedface bedding doesn’t end with sleeping on them every night—you’ll also need to take care of your linens. The right care will be key to preserving the beauty of the fabric and prolonging the life of your sheets.
Luckily for you, we already have the formula. Just follow these best practices to keep your Bedface sheets looking and feeling like new.

Washing is the first essential to proper bedding care.
After receiving your bedding, dedicate some time to wash them before placing them on your bed. Not only will this ensure peak cleanliness, but it’s the first step to breaking them in and getting them ready to be your new “rest friend.”
After the first pre-sleep wash, keep the momentum with intentional washing practices. Here are a few pointers for achieving optimal washing results every time:
Use either a gentle detergent or a modest amount of “regular” detergent (no, using a lot of detergent does not equate to cleaner sheets)
The way you dry your sheets will also play a big part in how they hold up over time.
We recommend hanging your sheets outside to dry. If you’re drying white sheets, you’ll get an added bonus of bleaching that will naturally occur when the fabric is exposed to direct sunlight.

But, when that isn’t possible, dry your sheets on low heat, low tumble settings. This will help preserve fibers and fight against wrinkles, premature fading, and unnecessary stressing of the fabric.
And if you battle with static cling after drying your sheets, there’s a solution for that, too. The two most common causes of static electricity are over-drying and drying synthetic and non-synthetic fibers together. Adding in a couple of wool dryer balls will help reduce static and serves as a green alternative to dryer sheets and fabric softeners.
The best time to store your Bedface bedding is immediately after it’s been washed and dried.
If you have plans to store your sheets away for awhile, you need to make sure they are clean and free of any additional elements, like sprays (e.g., starch) or fragrances (e.g., fabric spray).
Trust us when we say there is a right way and a wrong way to store bed linens.
To make sure you’re doing it the right way, remember these tips when storing your Bedface sheets:
These tips will help you preserve your sheets and avoid yellowing and mildewing while they are on storage vacation.
In addition to great washing, drying, and storing habits, there are a few more practices that will help keep your Bedface sheets in tip-top shape.
Make your bed every morning. This gives you the opportunity to rid your sheets of any debris that may have accumulated during your rest. This helps you maintain the cleanliness of your sheets until it’s time to wash them again.
Iron sheets every few weeks (or months) to help rid them of any stubborn creases that may have occurred as a result of continued use. Ironing is also good for achieving a fresh, crisp, took for your sheets.
Alternate sheets to preserve the life and quality of them. Constant use will cause your sheets to wear faster than if you rotated them with one or two other sets of bedding.
Pre-wash your bedding every three or four washes. Pre-washing helps put life back into your bedding by helping deodorize and brighten. We recommend placing your sheets in a solution of three parts water and one-part baking soda for or two hours before washing them.
Proper care is a pillar of bedding life.
Bedface sheets are different than other sheets on the market. We’ve engineered bedding that is breathable, functional, and perfect for a good night’s sleep—any day of the week.
These best practices are here to help you love your Bedface sheets for months to come. By following these steps regularly, you’ll be sure to extend the life of your favorite Bedface sheets.
Our goal is to make sure that purchasing Bedface linens for your home is an investment you can be proud of—one that you’re excited to tell your family and friends about.
